On April 8-12, Professor Extraordinarius from Poznan University of Economics and Business (PUEB, Poland) Agnieszka Poczta-Wajda (PhD) conducted lectures at the Department of Economics at AUCA. The lectures are part of the co-teaching partnership between AUCA and PUEB and supported by the Erasmus Program. Professor Poczta-Wajda co-taught the course “Agricultural Policy and International Trade”, which is designed and provided for AUCA MSc in Economics Program by Gulnara Nurieva.
The topics covered mainly international trade in agri-food products: agricultural negotiations in WTO, support policy measures and indices, World Bank NRA, and Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union.
Students had a unique chance to work on OECD PSE (Producer Support Estimates) database, and World Bank NRA (Nominal Rates of Assistance to producers) database. Professor also shared her experience in the field of education, advised students on how to conduct research and figure out the proper methodology.
Agnieszka Poczta-Wajda and AUCA Economics Department team have discussed and agreed on potential collaboration on several research projects.
